Laughter is medicine. Come enjoy an evening of rewritten songs about the comedy of working in healthcare (or trying to get it).<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Whether as patients or providers, everyone\u2019s in need of some medicinal laughter, and they\u2019ll get a healthy dose of it at a performance of \u201cMedical Melodies.\u201d<\/p>

Inspired by Alan Sherman and “Weird Al” Yankovic, H.R. Britton takes songs like Paul Simon\u2019s \u201c50 Ways to Leave Your Lover\u201d and turns them into songs like \u201c50 Ways to Love Your Liver.\u201d Or, he takes John Lennon\u2019s \u201cImagine\u201d and turns it into a silly ode to x-rays and MRI\u2019s: \u201cImaging.\u201d<\/p>

For over thirty years, H.R. Britton has been an actor, musician, comedic storyteller, and a host of variety shows. He has appeared in independent films, acted onstage in the Midwest and the East Coast, and toured his solo shows internationally.<\/p>

It is his career in healthcare reception that inspired all these comic songs. “It\u2019s fun to get nurses, receptionists, doctors, and lab techs chuckling,” says Britton. “Working in healthcare\u2019s not a walk in the park. Every laugh helps.\u201d<\/p>

Tickets are free. <\/strong><\/em>$10 suggested donation at the door or at the show.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

Half of net proceeds will be given to the Nurses\u2019 Union, SEIU Wisconsin.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>
