January 24, 2026 7PM-9PM: LAUGHTER IS MEDICINE
If anyone’s in dire need of some medicinal laughter, it’s healthcare workers. And they’ll get a healthy dose of it at the January 24th performance of H.R. Britton’s “Medical Melodies.” Inspired by Alan Sherman and “Weird Al” Yankovic, Britton rewrites pop and rock tunes to reflect the humorous side of a career in healthcare.
He takes songs like Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” and turns them into songs like “50 Ways to Love Your Liver.” Or, he re-envisions John Lennon’s “Imagine” as a silly ode to medical imaging.
For over thirty years, H.R. Britton has been an actor, musician, comedic storyteller, and a host of variety shows. He has appeared in independent films, acted onstage in the Midwest and the East Coast, and toured his solo shows internationally.
